Basket weavers, this month we will weave a handled basket with a combination of reed and seagrass. We’ll incorporate some curls through which we will thread seagrass to form decorative loops. No prior experience is necessary – simply take a list of necessary supplies. The cost of this month’s class is $20, payable upon registration. Sign up for this event is now closed.
A “Special Note” from Meredith: At this time, I do not know if there will be any further basket weaving classes. My husband and I have put our home up for sale and will be moving to Citrus County. We regret having to leave PoP and all of the lovely people here, although we do have some friends in that area also. I have enjoyed introducing you to basket weaving and getting to know you better. I think we always have a good time in class. Any additional classes will be announced in the Sunday bulletins. Classes will continue until our home is sold and a moving day is set. Thank you for your interest in the ancient art of basket weaving!

This month, we will weave something new – straw! We will be creating decorative German straw stars. Each class member will receive their own kit consisting of straw, a straw splitter, 2 sizes of placement rings with clamps and an instruction manual with patterns for creating 21 different straws.
You can also create your own designs! Star designs vary from single to multi-layered. You will have time to complete more than one. The stars can be displayed as a hanging ornament or may be mounted in a frame.
Come one, come all! Class will be held on February 25th at 6pm in Morack/Parish Hall. As these kits need to be ordered in advance, participants need to pay the class fee of $25 no later than Sunday, February 14th.
