Ruth's Promise Participants

Ruth’s Promise offers enriching activities for older adults and worry-free respite for caregivers.

Five days a week Ruth’s Promise offers a program designed to sustain and maximize function and cognition in the older adult through enjoyable activities in a safe, welcoming community setting. Our program also offers a much needed respite for caregivers, allowing them time to complete tasks or relax without the demands of caregiving.

What Do Families Say about Ruth’s Promise?

The caregivers are so kind and the program is so great. It is so helpful to have them to care for your loved ones while you can have a treat and go to doctor’s appointments and other things you may need to do.

My sister loves going to Ruth’s Promise. The staff is very attentive, loving and appreciative of the different levels of abilities among their members. I feel so grateful that my sister ASKS to go to Ruth’s Promise as it is a fun, safe and engaging place for her to be.

     The staff is truly exceptional!

Wonderful caring caregivers, with many volunteers. The clients are kept busy with arts and crafts, music, bingo, word games, etc. My husband is there four days a week from 9:30am to 2:30pm. He looks forward to going. I highly recommend Ruth’s Promise if you need some time for yourself.

I can’t say enough about the people at Ruth’s. Finding this place made such a huge difference for our family, as our loved one’s dementia progressed. They were critical in helping bridge the gap between the time when our loved family member could still do a lot on their own, until it was ultimately the time for full-time memory care. All of the people at Ruth’s have been just amazing, so supportive, and this allowed our primary caregiver some much-needed time to themselves during the weekdays.

If you have a loved one going through some form of Alzheimer’s, please reach out to Ruth’s Promise!

WHAT DID RUTH PROMISE?

When Ruth’s husband dies, her mother-in-law Naomi encourages Ruth to return to her own people. But Ruth refuses to leave Naomi, declaring, “Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.”

The story of Ruth and her promise to Naomi highlights true caring, loyalty, faith, and devotion
with the resulting shared respect and understanding. (Ruth 1:16).

Through Ruth’s Promise Adult Day Program we are committed to continuing that promise.
