Men’s Ministry
POP Men’s Ministry gathers for Bibly Study and for a fellowship breakfast on a regular basis.
Men’s Bible Study meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 8am-9:30am
Men’s Prayer Breakfast gathers the 3rd Sunday of the month at 8am.
Women of the ELCA
WELCA stands for Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are part of the churchwide ELCA as well as part of the Florida-Bahamas Synodical Women’s Organization. All women are welcome to participate in conference, synod-wide, and churchwide meetings of the organization. At Prince of Peace, WELCA operates primarily through circle meetings, accomplishing ministry in many ways.

Prince of Peace Travel and Recreation Team
A steering committee plans a variety of one-day outings to places of interest in the Tampa Bay area and beyond. Traveling is done by car-pooling or luxury coach. Sample trips have included: Renaissance Vinoy Resort, Bellevue Biltmore Hotel, St. John’s River Cruise, historic Mt. Dora, Florida Strawberry Festival, Cypress Gardens, Show Palace Dinner Theater in Hudson, Sarasota sites, etc. Suggestions welcomed. Fellowship abounds. Booked for Dessert
The Booked for Dessert group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month to discuss current or classical literature – fiction and non-fiction. The group chooses the selections and meets after the read for free-wheeling and unstructured discussion. Someone always brings something sweet to eat; and we enjoy one another’s company and opinions about inspiring literature.
