There are so many ways that you can get involved. From station leaders and special projects to providing supplies and setting up, you can make a difference! Here are ways that you can help our children attending summer VBS by providing supplies for our inventors’ factory!
Calling for cans: We need 70 clean, empty, shiny soup or similar size cans. Please save yours and bring them to church by June 11.
Walmart gift cards are needed to purchase food, paper products and other supplies. Gift cards can be purchased in store or online (please ship directly to the church) at: http://bit.ly/2sjfNg0
We expect to have more than 100 children, youth volunteers and adult leaders taking part in this great week of sharing God’s word. Please help us make it happen with the purchase of needed supplies.
Matthew, Mission & A Meal 3M Mondays | $10/week, $50/Summer | Starting June 5th
Note – we will not meet on July 17th, as we’ll be headed to summer camp with our youth! 3M Mondays will resume on July 24th.
This summer we are inviting our middle and high school youth to participate in Matthew, Mission & A Meal Mondays. It will be an opportunity to gather from 8:30am until 5:30pm for a full day of activity! Each week, we will have a service project in the community, a meal out at a restaurant, and a study on the book of Matthew. The afternoons will also include relaxing at the Church, watching movies, and other fun activities. Friends are welcome and encouraged to attend (the first week is free!).
Helping to lead these summer activities will be Nicole Gonzalez, our summer youth and family ministry intern. She is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina who will spend the summer with us before spending a year with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps.

Gear up for an over-the-top underground, Cave Quest adventure! Ground kids in the rock-solid foundation of God’s love, a love that takes us through life’s dark times. At Cave Quest VBS, children will experience God’s Word in surprising and unforgettable ways! We’re looking forward to an adventurous and fun-filled summer, so be sure to register your child today!
Each day, leaders reinforce one simple truth, while kids take part in fun Bible learning that they can see, hear, touch, and even taste! This interactive, hands-on experience creates an atmosphere that reinforces simple biblical principles while keeping children engaged and making it easy for them to remember and apply to real life!

Letter Carriers’ “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive Saturday, May 14th
Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America host the largest one-day food drive in the nation. In the past 20 years, more than one billion pounds of food has been delivered.
Each year, Religious Community Services (RCS) collects TONS of food for the hungry right here in our own neighborhood, enabling us to make a direct contribution to our community. Once postmen bring donations in from the field, PoP Youth will join other volunteers from numerous organizations to receive and sort the canned goods into food categories, making it easier for RCS to supply to those in need. This is a great project for families, so parents are welcome.
