It’s time for the Preschool Dolls to make their annual debut! On Sunday, April 8th, look for paper dolls in the pew during worship. A gift attached to a paper doll helps our preschool purchase educational materials, supplies and play items for our children’s learning and academic progress.
We are thankful for your contributions and giving hearts!
The official dedication of our new Learning Center took place on September 18, 2016!
Each week is a time of worship and celebration. Christ is risen indeed! But there are other moments when we are blessed to continue the prayers of thanksgiving in a unique way.
Here’s How We Celebrated in Thanksgiving to God!
Following the dedication, many joined as we went to the Learning Center for prayers with water from the baptismal font, even as we did at the groundbreaking. Many of us also took the opportunity to write our own prayers in a special way at the door of the Learning Center.
The God of grace and mercy has blessed us in so many ways. What a blessed day!

PoP Preschool Egg Hunt at Highland Recreation Center | March 19th, 4pm-8pm
The City of Largo is holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt! We are asking church members and school families to donate plastic eggs or candy to fill the eggs for this event. The City is asking that we provide 500 filled eggs.
Prince of Peace Preschool is hoping to spread some Easter cheer and to encourage new families to attend our church and school. Please contact our preschool director, Kelly Mende: 727.585.9790 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
With the majority of her career spent in early childhood education, our new Preschool Director Kelly Mende has 27 years of experience in the field of education. Kelly holds a Masters degree in Elementary Education and is also certified in Elementary Education and School Guidance and Counseling.
“I love children, and I cherish the memories and relationships that I formed with my students, their parents and peers.”
Kelly is focused on the bigger picture: using the gifts she was given to lead others while sharing her knowledge and experiences with those who teach at Prince of Peace Preschool. “I am confident that this new position was a part of a bigger plan: God’s plan. I am thrilled to begin the second half of my career where I’ll be allowed to share the love of God with His children.” As we look ahead to the future, the growth of our Preschool and the addition of our new Learning Center set for completion in the spring, we welcome Kelly’s experience and vigor to continue the work that God has begun!
Friday, December 18th
Join us at 9:30am in the Parish Hall for the wintery production of “Frosty the Snowman” from the artists of Prince of Peace Preschool! Parents, friends, family, PoP members, and our community are all invited to cheer on our littlest creatives!
View the photos slideshow of our ground-breaking ceremony!
On Sunday, November 8th, members and friends from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Largo gathered around for the official ground-breaking ceremony of our new education building. The ceremony highlights the start of construction for new state-of-the-art facilities that will allow for expansion of children’s ministries and Preschool.
With some changes it also opens up additional opportunities for us to serve our surrounding community in our currently existing education building, which will stand after construction of the new facilities is complete. We give thanks to God for all He has done; let us continue in our prayers for the Spirit’s guidance and blessings in all our work in Christ Jesus.
With an experienced staff having more than 100 years of combined experience, you can rest assured that your child – and their early education – is in the right hands.
