Last month’s prayer around the cross brought together over 60 of us—children, youth and adults—to share in a blessed time at the end of the day. We gather in the sanctuary literally around a cross, and we sing, pray, listen for God’s Word in scripture and sit in contemplative silence. There is no rush.
We pray for our world and for friends in need, for strangers and for our work as God’s people here. Some friends choose to light candles and place them around the cross, as a way of helping us recall those for whom we pray. They reflect the Light in whose name we gather. Come for a peaceful moment at the end of an otherwise hectic day, surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ—all in prayer. Invite and bring a friend.
