All Saints’ Sunday, Festivals & Worship

Sunday, November 5 is All Saints’ Sunday – a day to give thanks to God for the saints in Christ who have gone before us, who have influenced us, whom we have loved with all the love God gives. It is a day when we thank God as well for the new saints among us, those who have been washed into the Lord’s Church in this past year. We will worship and sing God’s praises on this festival day, that God has made us saints through our Lord’s death and resurrection. Yes, we are all saints; we are all set aside through our baptisms to live and serve as our Lord calls all our lives long.

All Saints’ Sunday worship always inspires our hearts as we remember and give thanks. This year will be no different.

Celebrate Epiphany in January 2017

The Epiphany of our Lord is a festival of the New Year that always falls on January 6. An epiphany is a revelation, and THE Epiphany is the Church day that marks the revelation of our Lord to the magi. A star guides the wise men from far away through the questioning grasp of Herod and to the child who was born king. Experience the music and reflect on this exciting night of worship!

Celebrate Epiphany – Festival Music, Candlelight Worship & Carols of the Season

Prince of Peace welcomes all to join us for a festive night, commemorating the visit of the wise men with readings, tableau, and choir with Hammered dulcimer & double bass. A Wassail Party and reception in the Parish Hall follows this exciting night of worship.

For years Prince of Peace has celebrated this ancient day of the Church by drawing together the themes of Advent and Christmas. We call it FEAST OF LIGHTS! We tell the whole story from prophesies to shepherds, angels and the holy family, until the arrival of the long-traveled magi.

With the special music of a hammered dulcimer and double bass, our choir and costumed friends, we will mark this blessed beginning of a new year with the Epiphany. And we will pray for eyes to see how the Lord reveals his way for us today.

Invite and bring friends and come for this night’s worship and joyous reception following!

Christmas Worship at Prince of Peace

Christmas at Prince of Peace

Each year our Christmas Eve celebration draws us together with so many folk from all around to give thanks and sing praises to God for the coming Christ child.

This year with Christmas Day falling on Sunday, we have the opportunity to celebrate this blessed festival day on the Sabbath. Christmas music will ring out, and we will hear together the mysterious word of our Lord’s coming from John 1. Thanks be to God for this blessed time of worship. Christmas Angel Tree – Sponsor a Child!

AngelTreeHelp a child have a wonderful Christmas!

Prince of Peace is partnering with Lutheran Services of Florida and Eckerd Community Alternatives to help provide a memorable Christmas to hundreds of Children in the Head Start Program and the Foster Care Program.

Our Angel Tree will go up in the corner of the Narthex prior to our Thanksgiving Eve Worship. Each Angel on our tree will feature information about a child and one of their gift wishes. With ages ranging from infancy to teens, you can select an Angel then return unwrapped gifts with the original Angel attached to be placed under the tree.

Not much of a shopper, but still want to contribute? Gift cards are graciously accepted also. Imagine the joy that even the smallest gift might bring to one of the children! May you always be inspired through God’s peace and love. Thank you! Questions? Contact Angie: angiepryor@rocketmail.com | 727.768.9961
