Hunger Task Force

The Prince of Peace Hunger Task Force works to educate our congregation about hunger needs and provides opportunities to impact those concerns on a local, national or international level. The task force meets regularly and is open to anyone concerned about the need for food or water in our community, nation or world. For more information about the PoP Hunger Task Force contact Terri Ziegler or the church office.

Tampa Bay Harvest is an all volunteer food recovery and transportation network. For more information and to volunteer check their website.

Bread for the World is a non-partisan citizen’s movement. Its members help hungry people by lobbying legislation that addresses hunger in our communities and around the world. For more information check their website.

Want to help, but don’t have time? “Take a hungry person to lunch”. Not literally, but skip lunch that day and donate what you would have spent to our local Religious Community Service (RCS)or to the above mentioned agencies.

ELCA’s World Hunger Programs are available on their website.
